Meet the Stylists
Meleesa
Meleesa Pellerino, the dedicated owner of Hair Loss Solutions GV, brings over four decades of experience as a hair and makeup artist and a profound understanding of the wig industry to her work. Beyond her professional expertise, Meleesa is a wife and mother of three sons, whose genuine compassion drives her commitment to assisting individuals facing hair challenges.
Her journey began with the encouragement of her mother and sister, leading her to pursue beauty school in 1980. In October 2012, Meleesa established Image by Design Hair & Makeup Studio, where she not only served her existing clientele but also extended empathetic wig and beauty support to those navigating the complexities of cancer. This dedication was deeply influenced by her family's experience with the disease, including the loss of her mother in 2005 and her sister in 2006. In their honor, Meleesa channeled her talents into providing comfort and solutions to others facing similar hardships.
After eleven years of nurturing her studio and launching the nonprofit Butterflies & Roses Cancer Support in 2019, Meleesa expanded her mission in July 2023 to encompass support for anyone experiencing hair loss. Alongside her skilled stylist partner, Kathleen, she offers private, personalized consultations, guiding clients toward the most suitable options, whether they be wigs, toppers, clip-in extensions, or scalp coverage solutions. Having personally experienced hair loss following a thyroidectomy, Meleesa approaches each consultation with a unique blend of professional insight and heartfelt empathy.
Demonstrating her commitment to providing comprehensive solutions, Meleesa has pursued specialized training and certification in Hair Systems, a non-surgical hair replacement service for both men and women. She is also delighted to announce the opening of The Wig Boutique retail area in May 2025, further enhancing her ability to serve her community.

Meet Kathleen
Kathleen Piece is a talented stylist and beauty expert with deep roots in her beloved hometown of Grass Valley, where she proudly serves the community she loves. She began her journey in beauty at Chico Beauty College, earning her cosmetology license in 1999, just before becoming a proud mother to three wonderful sons.
With decades of experience, Kathleen has built a loyal following by creating personalized styles, cuts, and colors for clients of all ages—men, women, and young folks alike. She stays current with the latest trends and techniques through ongoing education and annual training.
For Kathleen, hairstyling isn’t just a profession—it’s a true passion. She finds joy in helping people feel beautiful, whether through hair or makeup. She is also a dedicated team member at Hair Loss Solutions GV and works with Butterflies and Roses Cancer Support, offering compassionate care through wig selection, trimming, and other beauty services for those in need.
Known for her friendly and welcoming personality, Kathleen is committed to making every salon visit a positive, uplifting experience.
